Hi ladies!

Today we’re chatting about WATER! I can’t stress enough how important it is in order to reach your health and fitness goals. I’m always sipping water & tea throughout the day!

Stay hydrated, you’ll thank me later!

I’m going to assume you already know water is good for hydrating your skin…but maybe not everyone knows the link between hydration and their hair condition. Just like our skin, our hair thrives on our overall body’s hydration levels. Water supports vitamin absorption into the blood stream which helps our hair grow, shine and do what it does best! Recently, (maybe because I’m 28 this year and secretly crying about every little wrinkle I see) I’ve been very interested in anti-aging and water helps with this! DRINK UP to stay young! We want elastic, collagen filled, hydrated, healthy skin cells!

Water = medicine. Its science, and nature. Our bodies are 60% – 80% water, and although our bodies can maintain a certain level of hydration from food, we need sufficient water levels to survive. And who wants to JUST survive? I want to THRIVE! The more water the better!

If you’re not a freak like me who just loves the natural taste of water, it is so easy to infuse with flavor. Lemon & cayenne pepper, mint, lime, apple & cinnamon, cucumber, berries … really anything you like! Infusing your water is a good habit to get into. The added health benefits can increase your metabolism, aid in digestion, amp up your detoxifying and liver cleansing.

Our bodies can accumulate air pollutants, man made chemicals, food additives and even natural toxins over time. Although our bodies do a pretty damn good job of cleansing out these toxins on its own, (if our liver and kidneys are functioning properly) it’s always a good idea to help a sista out! I’m not a big fan of all the fad detox and cleansing kits out there. I’m a firm believer in naturally cleansing with water, clean diets, and some freshly squeezed green juice. Water is the cheapest way you can assist in cleansing your body from toxin buildup. I can EASILY drink 2 liters of water a day, and I would like to increase that. It’s the only thing that really quenches my thirst, and just plain old water tastes sooooo damn good to me! Haha am I crazy?!

Water is the energy of stillness, quiet strength, and purification. I always feel called to take a bath or go for a swim when I need to reconnect and re-energize.

It is formless, flowing, and powerful. This element also brings the power of regeneration and rebirth. Water is truly transformational, adding it to your diet, and self care routines can bring you into this energy vibration.
